Venkat Viswanathan Sloan Research Fellows of 2018

Venkat Viswanathan is one the winners of the 2018 Sloan Research Fellowships.

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation rewards 126 early-career scholars who represent the most promising scientific researchers working today. Sloan Foundation describes their achievements and potential as among the next generation of scientific leaders in the U.S. and Canada.

Successful candidates for a Sloan Research Fellowship generally have a strong record of significant independent research accomplishments that demonstrate creativity and the potential to become future leaders in the scientific community. Nominated candidates are normally below the rank of associate professor and do not hold tenure, but these are not strict requirements.

Winners receive $65,000, which may be spent over a two-year term on any expense supportive of their research.

Congratulations Venkat Viswanathan!
