My research interests span a variety of problems in High Energy Physics Theory and Condensed Matter Physics Theory. In recent years, there has been a great deal of successful and promising interactions between physicists working in these two fields. My current research focuses on two major topics. The first can generally be called Twistronics; this includes understanding of physical properties of different Moiré superlattices and particularly the Twisted Bilayer or Multilayer Graphene. The second topic I'm actively working on is Critical phenomena. My recent research in this area focused on the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model and other related systems which exhibit many interesting properties such as non-fermi liquid behavior, maximal chaos, spontaneous symmetry breaking, and so on.
